Job summary

Beckhoff Automation - INDIA in Bengaluru, Karnataka seeks an automation engineer to develop machine programs per customer specs and deliver training on Beckhoff products. You will document project activities and maintain up-to-date technical knowledge to support customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree in E&TC/electronics/instrumentation/mechatronics or E&E.
• 2–5 years of experience in automation/controls.
• Experience with IEC 61131-3 programming languages and object-oriented extensions.
• Knowledge of PLCs, motion controllers, robotics, and fieldbus (EtherCAT).
• Experience with electrical schematics is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in English; able to present to customers.

Qualifications

• B.E./B. Tech. (E&TC, electronics, instrumentation, mechatronics, E&E)
• 2 years to 5 years of experience
• experience with IEC 61131-3 programming languages, including (object-oriented extensions), C#, C++, etc., Python; objective C-Programming knowledge and experience with electrical schematics a plus
• understanding of PLCs, motion controllers, robotics, distributed I/O, fieldbus systems (EtherCAT) and HMI technologies
• strong analytical and reasoning skills to collaborate in a fast-paced, action-oriented team
• previous technical training and/or Beckhoff Automation experience
• Visual Studio and/or object-oriented programming (OOP) in automation
• excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present to customers, companywide, and/or departmental meetings in English
