Job summary

Kirloskar Ebara Pumps is seeking a skilled technical pre-sales / project support engineer to drive high-value bids in Pune. You will oversee swift acknowledgment of inquiries, analyze customer specs against the Product Binder, and draft technical deviations with strong solutions.

You will lead the vendor RFQ process, verify technical compliance of bought-out components, guide cross-functional teams, and anchor pre-bid discussions to shape technical specs for competitive edge, ensuring timely

Responsibilities

• Oversee the swift and professional acknowledgment of all incoming project enquiries to RO/IRO/Customers.
• Analyze complex customer specifications against the Product Technical Binder to strategize and draft technical deviations.
• Provide high-level technical solutions and engineering support directly to critical customers.
• Direct the vendor RFQ process and verify the technical compliance of bought-out components.
• Lead actions to secure product qualifications and collaborate with Engineering to resolve complex deviations.
• Lead customer site visits for high-value technical scope assessments and project clarity.
• Validate and approve the final scope of supply for the Costing Department to guarantee precise COGS.
• Formulate aggressive, technically superior responses to Technical Queries to secure major orders.
• Anchor pre-bid discussions to influence technical specs and position company parameters for a competitive edge.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee the swift and professional acknowledgment of all incoming project enquiries to RO/IRO/Customers.
• Analyze complex customer specifications against the Product Technical Binder to strategize and draft technical deviations.
• Provide high-level technical solutions and engineering support directly to critical customers.
• Direct the vendor RFQ process and take ownership of verifying the technical compliance of bought-out components.
• Lead actions to secure product qualifications and collaborate with Engineering to resolve complex deviations.
• Lead customer site visits for high-value technical scope assessments and project clarity.
• Validate and approve the final scope of supply for the Costing Department to guarantee precise COGS.
• Formulate aggressive, technically superior responses to Technical Queries (TQ) to secure major orders.
• Monitor and update internal benchmarks on the latest technological specs of bought-out components.
• Partner with marketing engineers to design innovative technical solutions that win competitive bids.
• Anchor pre-bid discussions to influence technical specs and position company parameters for a competitive edge.
• Ensure all technical offers and customer query replies are rigorously vetted and submitted ahead of schedule.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Approve zero-defect Contract Reviews to ensure flawless technical handovers to Project Engineering for manufacturing.
• Audit and submit critical approval documents, including custom Pump Data Sheets, performance curves, and spare lists.
• Aligning Pre-Sales, Design, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to eliminate downstream bottlenecks post-order win.
• Support sales team at budget enquiry stage with technical offer review and price estimation.
• Support internal stakeholders for smooth execution of an order.
• Support application team for compilation and submission of major documents related to AE without errors.
