Job summary

Hotfoot is seeking a Production Support Engineer in India to resolve production issues within defined SLAs and to build a strong knowledge base for efficient troubleshooting. You’ll collaborate with infrastructure, development, and other teams to deploy releases in UAT and Production while automating repeatable tasks.

The role requires deep expertise in Linux/Windows, SQL, shell scripting, and application server stacks, with hands-on experience in Java, Oracle, SQL, and MySQL, plus solid

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OS Linux (RHEL6+) and Windows.
• Deep Knowledge of SQL Queries
• Deep Knowledge of Shell Scripting (LINUX), parsing, scheduling, port forwarding etc.
• Knowledge of log monitoring and correlation to what is wrong with the deployment.
• Have functional knowledge of Loan Origination Systems.
• Hands on Experience on Java, Oracle, SQL, MySQL and performance tuning.
• Knowledge on Patch deployments and App/web layer configurations (Nginx, Apache tomcat , Jboss ) . Knowledge on SDLC
• Excellent written & verbal communication
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Good team player with the ability to deliver within schedules

Responsibilities

• Resolve production support issues within SLA.
• Build functional knowledge of the system under support and troubleshoot tickets.
• Develop knowledge base of issues and fixes.
• Identify issues requiring permanent code fixes and track until delivery.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, network and other teams to resolve incidents.
• Monitor and respond to tickets via incident management system.
• Coordinate configuration changes and application updates.
• Collaborate with Development to deploy releases in UAT and Production.
• Develop scripts to automate repeatable tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application or infrastructure issues.
• Proactively monitor logs to identify RCA of issues.

Roles and Responsibilities

• As a production support engineer, you would be responsible for your team- for resolving the production support issues within a given SLA.
• Build functional knowledge of the system under support and ensure effective troubleshooting of support tickets raised by the customer.
• Build a knowledge base of issues and effective fixes for the same.
• Responsible for identifying issues that require permanent code fixes and ensure tracking of the same till delivery from the implementation team.
• Responding to incidents and coordinating with the infrastructure, network and other teams to resolve issues. Responsible for monitoring and responding to open tickets submitted through an incident management system.
• Keeping are cordof configuration changes and scheduling application updates.
• Coordinate with Application Development Team to successfully deploy software releases in both UserAcceptance Testing and Production environments.
• Develop scripts and work with a team to automate repeatable manual tasks.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving application or infrastructure issues.
