Fidelity Information Services, LLC in Chennai seeks an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage India payroll end-to-end with high accuracy and statutory compliance. Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in India payroll
• Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations affecting payroll
• Broad knowledge of payroll principles, practices, processes and procedures
• Knowledgeable in payroll systems: Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, team-building and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments concurrently
• Ability to work under pressure of deadlines

Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll with 100% accuracy and consolidate payroll data
• Validate payroll reports for policy and statutory compliance
• Process Final Settlement
• Collaborate with technical teams to implement process improvements and test changes
• Lead special projects within the payroll department
• Audit pay records and reconcile totals by department, location, country
• Interpret pay policies and ensure correct deductions
• Document payroll processes and train staff
• Produce scheduled/ad hoc analyses and reports
• Perform other related duties as needed

What You Bring

• Responsible for processing of monthly payroll with 100% accuracy
• Consolidation of monthly payroll with 100% accuracy
• Validation of payroll reports to ensure all payouts are in line with the policies and statutory laws
• Processing of Final Settlement
• Works closely with technical departments to implement process improvements, test system
• changes and lead special projects within the payroll department.
• Serves as liaison to employees and payroll associates to ensure payroll processing accurately
• reflects company-specific pay policies.
• Audits employee pay records and reconciles totals by department, location, country, etc
• Interprets pay policies, e.g., vacation, LOA, disability, workers compensation, government
• regulations, withholding exemptions, etc. and ensures appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to various accounts correctly.
• Documents payroll processes and procedures; may train payroll department staff
• Produces various scheduled/ad hoc analyses and reports as needed
• Other related duties assigned as needed

What You Will Be Doing

• Should have 8 to 10 years of experience in India payroll
• Knowledge of laws and regulations that affect payroll
• Broad knowledge of payroll principles, practices, processes and procedures
• Knowledgeable in the use and administration of payroll systems e.g., oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, team-building and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments concurrently
• Ability to work under pressure of deadlines
