Job summary

PeepalCo is seeking a hands-on accounting professional to manage month-end close, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and income recognition. The role focuses on accurate close processes, intercompany settlements, and maintaining audit-ready documentation.

The candidate will work with Oracle NetSuite, improve reconciliation discipline, and ensure compliance with Ind AS. 1–2 years of relevant experience and a finance qualification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on accounting and close experience required.
• Strong Excel and reconciliation skills preferred.
• Understanding of Ind AS concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete month-end close activities with trackers and reconciliations.
• Prepare detailed expense sheets including provisions and prepaid expenses.
• Prepare and review intercompany cross-charge provisions, invoicing and settlements.
• Maintain intercompany agreements, renewals and documentation.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and clear unreconciled items.
• Compute interest income and gains on investments with schedules.
• Handle Oracle new GL and item-master requests.
• Maintain audit-ready working papers for audits.

Role purpose

Own recurring finance operations and accounting activities required for accurate month-end close, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, income recognition/accruals, Oracle master-data activities and loan-related accounting.

Key responsibilities – must be hands-on

• Complete month-end close activities and maintain close trackers, schedules and supporting reconciliations.
• Prepare expense detailed sheets covering vendor, expense head, provisions, bills and prepaid expenses.
• Prepare and post/review intercompany cross-charge provisions, invoicing and settlement workings.
• Maintain and track intercompany agreements, including renewals and supporting documentation.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations (BRS) and investigate/clear unreconciled items.
• Compute and recognise interest income and gains on mutual funds/investments as applicable, with supporting schedules.
• Handle Oracle new GL and item-master requests/changes.
• Maintain audit-ready working papers and provide supporting documentation for statutory/management and Internal audits.

What success looks like

• Can independently complete assigned close activities without needing step-by-step instructions.
• Strong reconciliation discipline and ability to identify unusual balances/entries.
• Comfortable working in Excel and ERP systems, particularly Oracle NetSuite or similar.
• Understands debit/credit, accruals, provisions, prepaids, intercompany, bank reconciliation and basic Ind AS concepts.
• Meets deadlines and follows through on open items with stakeholders.

Requirements

• 1–2 years relevant experience.
• CA dropout / relevant finance qualification is preferred.
• Not currently appearing for CA exams.
• Hands-on accounting/close experience rather than only MIS/reporting or audit coordination.
• Good Excel and reconciliation skills.
