Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking an experienced AMM Author to develop and maintain Aircraft Maintenance Manual content for Airbus programs. You will work in collaboration with engineering teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with Airbus standards, while leveraging Airbus tools for publication processes.

The role requires 6+ years of AMM authoring experience, strong understanding of documentation structures, and the ability to analyze source data.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of AMM authoring experience for Airbus aircraft programs.
• Strong knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Manual structure and maintenance procedures.
• Hands-on experience with Airbus technical publications and authoring environments.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and source data.
• Experience in source data analysis, technical analysis, and impact analysis.
• Understanding of engineering changes and their impact on publications.
• Experience with XML/SGML‑based documentation and authoring tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Your Role

• Creation, modification, and revision of AMM (Aircraft Maintenance Manual) content for Airbus aircraft programs.
• Develop and update maintenance procedures in accordance with Airbus documentation standards and guidelines.
• Airbus tool experience is mandatory.
• Good understanding of Airbus standards, tools, processes, and technical publication guidelines.
• Analyze engineering source data, drawings, specifications, and change requests to develop accurate AMM content.
• Perform impact analysis and incorporate technical changes into the relevant maintenance procedures.
• Ensure technical content meets quality, accuracy, consistency, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, illustrators, reviewers, and other stakeholders for technical clarifications.
• Guide and mentor Junior Authors/Preparators/Proofreaders when required.

Your Profile

• 6+ Years of experience inAMM Authoring for Airbus aircraft programs.
• Strong knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Manual structure, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation.
• Hands‑on experience working with Airbus technical publication processes and authoring environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, source data, and other engineering documents.
• Experience in source data analysis, technical analysis, and impact analysis.
• Good understanding of engineering changes and their impact on technical publications.
• Experience in XML/SGML‑based technical documentation and authoring tools will be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality.
• Experience mentoring team members and supporting process improvement initiatives will be an added advantage.
