Job summary

Symphoni HR Pvt Ltd is seeking an Import, Procurement & Supply Chain professional to coordinate end-to-end overseas-import operations to India. You will liaise with overseas suppliers, manage purchase orders, schedules and documentation, and ensure timely delivery.

The role requires strong MS Excel skills, ERP usage, and 5 years of experience in imports, procurement, logistics or distribution management, with a focus on international logistics and compliance.

Qualifications

• Import, procurement and supply chain management experience is required.
• Experience handling overseas suppliers and international logistics is necessary.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms and export/import documentation.
• Excellent MS Excel with ability to work with numbers and reports.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end import operations from overseas suppliers to India.
• Coordinate with overseas vendors regarding purchase orders, shipment schedules and delivery timelines.
• Manage international shipping documentation and coordinate with freight forwarders and CHAs/customs agents.
• Track shipments, customs clearance and shipment-related costs; monitor inventory levels and lead times.
• Coordinate procurement requirements based on demand and ensure proper batch and FEFO/FIFO management; support sales for product availability.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Import, Procurement & Supply Chain Management

• Coordinate end-to-end import operations from overseas suppliers to India.
• Coordinate with overseas vendors regarding purchase orders, shipment schedules, documentation and delivery timelines.
• Manage international shipping documentation and coordinate with freight forwarders and CHA/customs agents. (Should be able to check all import documents thoroughly like BL, COO, Invoice, BOE etc)
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms
• Track shipments, customs clearance, delivery schedules and shipment-related costs.
• Coordinate procurement requirements based on demand, inventory levels and lead times. Monitor inventory, replenishment, stock ageing, expiry, and ensure proper batch and FEFO/FIFO management.
• Coordinate with Sales and Business teams to ensure uninterrupted product availability

Vendor Management

• Coordination and tracking of SLAs for forwarders, CHAs, and transport vendors
• Processing marine and vehicle insurance for the organization

Preferred candidate profile

Skills Required

• Excellent analytical, negotiation, follow-up and vendor management skills.
• Very strong proficiency in MS Excel and working with numbers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with overseas stakeholders.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain reporting tools

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelors degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field.

MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics or International Business will be preferred

Relevant experience of 5 years in imports, procurement, logistics, supply chain, warehouse or distribution management.

Experience in handling overseas suppliers and international logistics is necessary.
