Job summary

VM Placement Solutions seeks a surface design engineer to develop Class-A and Class-B surfaces from sketches or scans. You will ensure continuity and surface flow, leveraging Alias/Rhino and CAE tools.

The candidate will collaborate with industrial design, engineering, tooling and sourcing teams to meet project timelines and integrate surfaces with manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Work with industrial design, engineering, tooling & sourcing teams to meet timelines.
• Proficient in Autodesk Alias and Rhinoceros for surfacing.
• Experience with Siemens UG-NX and CATIA V5 (GSD, Part Design, Assembly, Drafting).

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality Class-A and Class-B surfaces from sketches, concept models or scan data.
• Ensure continuity (G2/G3) and surface flow across parts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate surfaces with manufacturing processes.

Create high-quality Class-A and Class-B surfaces from sketches, concept models or scan data, ensuring proper continuity (G2/G3), highlight quality & surface flow. Good understanding of plastic part design, sheet metal & related manufacturing processes.
