Responsibilities

• Prepare daily production and material plans based on customer orders.
• Monitor production activities to meet targets.
• Prepare daily machine loading and production plans using SAP/ERP.
• Coordinate with Packing, Dispatch and Sales for on-time deliveries.
• Monitor stock levels and plan material requirements.
• Plan sampling activities and support customer audits.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Purchase to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Identify cost-saving initiatives such as cycle-time and material reduction.
• Review process parameters and drive productivity improvements.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance to minimize machine breakdowns.
• Lead regular production meetings and review targets.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Production & PPC to manage production planning, shop-floor operations, material planning and dispatch coordination. The role will ensure smooth production, timely customer deliveries, optimum manpower and material utilization, and continuous improvement in productivity and cost.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily production and material/compound plans based on customer orders.
• Monitor production activities and ensure targets are achieved on time.
• Prepare daily machine loading and production plans using SAP/ERP.
• Coordinate with Packing, Dispatch and Sales teams for timely customer deliveries.
• Monitor customer order trends and maintain required stock levels.
• Plan and monitor sampling activities and support customer audits/visits.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Purchase teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Follow up on outsourced parts/materials for timely delivery.
• Monitor manpower planning and allocate responsibilities to the production team.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives such as cycle-time and material reduction.
• Monitor manufacturing defects, rejection and process wastage and take corrective action.
• Review process parameters and drive productivity and process improvements.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance activities to minimize machine breakdowns.
• Conduct regular production meetings and review targets, quality and operational issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Rubber Technology or a suitable engineering discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of production management, production planning and PPC.
• Knowledge of machine parameters, manufacturing defects, cycle time and corrective actions.
• Good understanding of SOP, quality parameters, customer requirements and IATF documentation.
• Proficiency in SAP/ERP and MS Office.
• Strong leadership, communication, decision-making and team-management skills.
• Preferred age: 33-40 years.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in production planning and shop-floor management, with the ability to manage manpower, materials, machines, quality, production targets and dispatch coordination effectively.
