Job summary

Myung Sung India is seeking an experienced injection mould designer to create high-precision plastic moulds based on customer specifications. You will generate 3D mould designs and 2D drawings, develop layouts and component details, and ensure feasibility with DFM standards.

Collaboration with Tool Room, Production and QA is essential for successful mould trials. You will also design slides, lifters, ejector and cooling systems, maintain BOMs and documentation, and implement design changes from

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Tool & Die Making / Mechanical Engineering required
• 510 years of experience in plastic injection mould design

Responsibilities

• Design plastic injection moulds as per customer requirements and product specifications
• Prepare 2D drawings and 3D mould designs
• Develop mould layout, core & cavity, parting line and mould components
• Design slides, lifters, ejector systems and cooling systems
• Prepare detailed mould component drawings and BOM
• Review product design for DFM and mould feasibility
• Coordinate with Tool Room, Production and Quality teams during mould manufacturing and trials
• Make necessary design modifications based on mould trial results
• Ensure designs meet dimensional accuracy, functionality and quality standards
• Maintain proper design documentation and revision control

Preferred candidate profile

• ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Tool & Die Making / Mechanical Engineering.
• 510 years of experience in plastic injection mould design.
• Strong hands-on experience in 3D mould design and 2D detailing.
• Good knowledge of core, cavity, slides, lifters, ejector and cooling systems.
• Experience in UG NX / Siemens NX, AutoCAD, Creo or SolidWorks.
• Good understanding of DFM, GD&T and mould design standards.
• Experience in automotive / plastic injection mould industry will be preferred.
• Ability to coordinate with Tool Room and production teams.
• Good problem-solving and mould troubleshooting skills.
