Job summary

Myung Sung India is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to manufacture, fit, assemble and modify injection moulds as per 2D/3D drawings. You will perform mould fitting, polishing, spotting and trial corrections, and operate tool room machines such as Milling, Grinding, EDM, Drilling and Lathe.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, carrying out mould maintenance and repair, and coordinating with Design, Production and Quality teams to meet dimensional, surface finish and quality

Qualifications

• ITI/ diploma in Tool & Die Making or related field.
• Experience in injection mould tool making preferred.
• Ability to read 2D/3D drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of mould polishing, spotting, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.

Role & responsibilities

• Manufacture, fit, assemble and modify injection moulds as per 2D/3D drawings.
• Perform mould fitting, polishing, spotting and trial corrections.
• Operate tool room machines such as Milling, Grinding, EDM, Drilling and Lathe.
• Read and understand engineering drawings and mould/tool specifications.
• Carry out mould maintenance, repair and troubleshooting.
• Inspect dimensions using Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge and other precision instruments.
• Identify defects during mould trials and carry out necessary corrections.
• Ensure required dimensional accuracy, surface finish and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Design, Production and Quality teams for mould-related activities.
• Complete assigned tool-making work within the planned schedule.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain proper housekeeping in the tool room.

Preferred candidate profile

• ITI / Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Tool Maker or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-10 years of hands-on experience in Injection Mould Tool Making.
• Strong knowledge of plastic injection mould construction, fitting and assembly.
• Experience in Milling, Grinding, EDM, Drilling and other tool room machines.
• Ability to read and understand 2D/3D mould and engineering drawings.
• Good knowledge of mould polishing, spotting, modification and maintenance.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and dimensional inspection.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Candidates from Automotive / Plastic Injection Mould / Precision Tool Room industries will be preferred.
• Ability to work independently and meet production schedules.
