Job summary

Kanerika Software in Hyderabad is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to build AI features for an enterprise SaaS platform focused on data privacy and governance. You will work on agent-based workflows, model discovery, and guardrails from prototype to production.

You will collaborate with the AI Architect, implement tools like LangChain, LangGraph, and modern ML frameworks, and ensure robust observability, security, and performance. A strong background in Python and production GenAI is required.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of software engineering, incl. 2–3 years building ML/GenAI in production.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience building agent-based AI features.
• Experience with LLM tooling and governance.

Responsibilities

• Build agent-based features using LLMs with LangChain and LangGraph.
• Develop AI asset discovery for models, agents, prompts and services.
• Implement guardrails for PII, toxicity, and jailbreak detection.
• Build RAG pipelines, templates and evaluation harnesses.
• Evaluate models for accuracy, latency and cost.
• Take new AI features from prototype to production.
• Integrate AI services with backend microservices via APIs.
• Add observability and monitoring to AI components.
• Collaborate with AI Architect on design decisions.

Role:

Asan AI/ML Engineer, you will build AI and agent features for anenterprise-grade SaaS platform in the data privacy, data governance and AIgovernance space. Your work will cover agent-based workflows, AI assetdiscovery and AI guardrails that detect and enforce controls for PII, toxicityand prompt injection, as well as new AI features taken from prototype toproduction.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Buildagent-based features using LLMs and frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph,including tool calling, orchestration and memory.
• DevelopAI asset discovery for models, agents, prompts and AI services across cloud andAI platforms.
• Implementguardrail signals and enforcement, including PII detection and redaction,toxicity and content moderation, and prompt-injection and jailbreak detection.
• BuildRAG pipelines, prompt templates and evaluation harnesses.
• Evaluateand benchmark models and guardrail classifiers for accuracy, latency and cost.
• Takenew AI features from prototype to production for new product initiatives.
• IntegrateAI services with backend microservices through well-defined APIs.
• Addobservability, logging and monitoring to AI components.
• Workclosely with the AI Architect on design and technical decisions.

WhatYou’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’sor Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, orequivalent experience.
• 5–8+years of software engineering experience, including at least 2–3 years buildingML, GenAI or LLM applications in production.
• Strongprogramming skills in Python.
• Hands-onexperience building agentic AI or LLM-powered features.

MandatorySkills:

• Strongproficiency in Python, with experience in FastAPI or Flask.
• Experiencein LLM application development: prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings and vectordatabases (e.g., pgvector, OpenSearch, Pinecone, Azure AI Search).
• Hands-onexperience with agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph or SemanticKernel, and familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Experiencewith AWS Bedrock/SageMaker and Azure OpenAI/Azure AI Foundry.
• Experienceimplementing AI safety controls, such as PII detection (e.g., Presidio),content moderation and prompt-injection defense (e.g., NeMo Guardrails,Guardrails AI, Llama Guard).
