Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Senior Procurement Leader in Coimbatore/India to drive procurement strategy for manufactured parts, bought-out components, assemblies and services. You will build a robust supplier network across India and globally, ensuring cost competitiveness, quality and delivery excellence.

Lead the procurement team, scout and develop vendors nationwide, and push cost reduction, value engineering and supplier development initiatives while coordinating with Engineering,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience in procurement and sourcing for manufactured parts and services.
• Strong leadership and vendor development capabilities.
• Experience with global supplier networks and international procurement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the procurement team and establish procurement best practices.
• Scout, evaluate and develop suitable vendors anywhere in India for manufactured and engineered components.
• Identify and develop strategic global sources for critical components, assemblies and technologies.
• Lead sourcing of fabricated, machined, cast, forged, hydraulic, drive train, electrical and bought-out parts.
• Drive vendor development, localization and alternate source creation.
• Conduct supplier capability assessments, technical reviews and commercial evaluations.
• Lead commercial negotiations.
• Drive cost reduction, value engineering and procurement productivity initiatives.
• Monitor supplier performance on Quality, Cost, Delivery and Responsiveness.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Projects, Quality and Finance teams.
• Manage import sourcing, international supplier relationships and global procurement activities.
• Ensure timely material availability while minimizing supply chain risks.
