Job summary

Penta Consulting seeks an Apigee API Developer to provide L2/L3 production support and enhancements for APIs deployed on the Apigee platform in India.

You will ensure stability, performance, and security of APIs, implement minor enhancements, and work within an AMS engagement model with on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Apigee Edge or Apigee X experience.
• Experience with API proxy creation, policy configuration, and shared flows.
• Proficient in REST, SOAP, JSON, XML formats.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API key management.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes in containerized environments.
• Experience in 24x7 production support.

Responsibilities

We are seeking Apigee API Developer to provide L2/L3 production support and enhancement services under an AMS engagement model. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring stability, performance, and security of APIs deployed on the Apigee platform, along with implementing minor enhancements and continuous improvements.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Apigee Edge or Apigee X.
• Experience in API proxy creation, policy configuration, and shared flows.
• Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML.
• Hands-on experience in:OAuth 2.0JWTAPI key managementTraffic management policiesExperience in JavaScript for policy customization.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with backend integrations and middleware platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).

• Exposure to API lifecycle management and governance frameworks.
• Experience in 24x7 support model (on-call support if required).
