Job summary

300plus Innovative Solutions seeks an API developer to design specifications with OpenAPI, implement solutions on Apigee Edge, and publish on the developer portal. The role requires hands-on experience with proxies, security policies, and traffic management, along with strong communication to explain concepts to varied audiences.

The candidate will work in a fast-paced Agile environment, using XML/JSON and web service technologies. Prior API troubleshooting experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT/software development experience with API projects.
• Hands-on Apigee experience: proxies, policies, security, analytics.
• Proficient in REST/SOAP, XML and JSON data formats.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities

1. Design & Develop API specifications using OpenAPI Specifications/YAML/JS
2. Implement API solutions using Apigee to include API proxies, rate limiting, security, analytics, etc. - Configure traffic management policies such as spike arrest, message mediation, cache management, security (OAuth2.0, Basic Auth, and API Key)
3. Publishing and documenting APIs on Apigee Developer Portal - Develop coding standards, methodology and repeatable process
4. 2+ years of IT/software development experience - Proficient in developing APIs in APIGEE edge - At least 1+ years hands on experience in Apigee - Skilled problem solver with the desire and proven ability to create innovative solutions
5. Strong communicator who can explain and present concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
6. Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment Good understanding of: - XML, JSON, Web Service technologies (SOAP, REST)
7. Troubleshooting API failures using Apigee Edge - Apigee policies (mediation, security and traffic management policies). -
