Job summary

PwC India is seeking an AES Guidewire BillingCenter Developer Associate to join its Acceleration Center India in Bengaluru. You will support design, enhancement, and maintenance of Guidewire BillingCenter solutions for insurance clients, contributing to billing operations and customer experiences within Advisory practice.

You will develop, test, and provide production support while learning in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in BillingCenter and working knowledge of Guidewire modules.
• Knowledge of GOSU, Guidewire Event and Rules Framework, and Web Services.
• Familiar with XML and JSON formats; experience with ANT, MAVEN and Gradle scripts.
• Experience using SOAP UI, Postman; familiarity with SVN and Git.
• Bachelor's degree; 1–3 years of experience; proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Support BillingCenter configuration, enhancements, and maintenance for insurance platforms.
• Contribute to billing workflows, integrations, and system updates.
• Debug issues and support production for Guidewire solutions.
• Triage tickets and assist with defect remediation.
• Assist with automation and digital tooling to improve performance.
• Translate functional requirements into technical updates within Guidewire.
• Execute code changes, unit tests, and deployment support.
• Apply knowledge of BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and PolicyCenter to connected processes.

As an AES Guidewire BillingCenter Developer Associate you will support the design, enhancement, and maintenance of Guidewire BillingCenter solutions for insurance clients, helping improve billing operations and customer experiences within our Advisory practice. As an Associate you will build curiosity, adaptability, and reliability while contributing to project tasks, supporting senior team members, asking questions, and developing your technical skills in a fast‑paced environment. In this role at PwC, you will participate in development work, problem solving, testing, and production support activities for deployed Guidewire solutions, while learning how technology, business needs, and client priorities connect across Application Evolution Services - Guidewire.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Guidewire BillingCenter configuration, enhancement, and maintenance activities for insurance platform solutions
• Contributing to software development tasks across billing workflows, integrations, and system updates
• Debugging application issues and participating in problem resolution for deployed Guidewire solutions
• Assisting with production support activities, including ticket triage, issue research, and defect remediation
• Collaborating on implementation of automation and digital tooling to improve application performance and delivery speed
• Interpreting functional requirements and translating them into technical updates within Guidewire environments
• Executing code changes, unit testing, and deployment support using software development methods and system development practices
• Applying knowledge of Guidewire BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and PolicyCenter to support connected application processes

What You Must Have

• Deep experience in BillingCenter and working knowledge on Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter and ContactManager;
• GOSU, Guidewire Event and Rules Framework and Guidewire Web Services;
• Good Knowledge on XML & JSON formats and ANT, MAVEN, Gradle scripts;
• Experience using tools such as SOAP UI, Postman and working with code repositories such as SVN & GIT;
• At least a Bachelors degree
• At least 1-3 years of experience
• Oral and written proficiency in English required

• Demonstrates abilities and extensive Application Managed Service projects and solutioning the Guidewire Suite of applications on premises and SaaS, with proven success executing all aspects of complex engagements within the Guidewire product suite achieving on-time and on-budget delivery, as well as the following:
• Demonstrates abilities providing solution strategy and Application Evolution Services (AES, formerly AMS) delivery as a Senior Guidewire Developer Developer. Employees in the Senior Developer position should think of themselves and be regarded by the client as a trusted advisor and think strategically about how to create value using the Guidewire Suite of products;
• Demonstrates abilities delivering Guidewire application solutions as it will be critical that consultant in this position are capable of navigating both business processes as well as enterprise solution perspectives at high level and holistic view;
• Demonstrates abilities developing a scalable and robust Guidewire Solution Strategies in a hybrid IT landscape (on premises and Cloud);
• Demonstrates abilities and/or a proven record of success in developing independently new market-differentiated Guidewire solutions and supporting proposal development efforts; Senior Developer in these positions should be capable of delivering Advisory-level work and be able to discuss future enhancements in Guidewire roadmap discussions with the client;
• With a focus on AES, demonstrates expert abilities assisting clients in the support of Guidewire Suite solutions and improving business processes; and taking a proactive approach to quality;
• Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Actuarial Science, Business Administration/Management, Business Analytics, Commerce, Computer and Information Science, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering & Accounting, Data Processing/Analytics/Science, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Engineering and Business, Finance, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management/Research, Risk Management, Software App, Statistics
