Job summary

PwC South Africa seeks a Senior Associate to advance our Guidewire practice within Advisory. You will design and implement Guidewire Insurance Suite solutions, collaborate across teams, and contribute to architecture and data-driven projects for insurers.

You will apply Java and Gosu skills, work with PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and ClaimCenter, and engage in SCRUM deliveries while leveraging Guidewire Studio and related tools to deliver client value.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in Guidewire development.
• Experience with PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.
• Strong Java and Gosu programming skills.
• Experience with XML, XSD, JSON.
• Experience with SCRUM Agile methodologies.
• Insurance domain knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop technology roadmap, architecture and implement for Guidewire Insurance Suite.
• Collaborate and implement Guidewire accelerators and related tools to solve client issues.
• Use Guidewire Studio editors and tools to configure systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop technology roadmap, architecture and implement for Guidewire Insurance Suite.
• Collaborate and implement most relevant (e.g., Guidewire Accelerators, ASPEN, BANFF) development tools/techniques to solve client issues and exceed client requirements.
• Experience in using various editors and tools available through Guidewire Studio.
• Strong programming knowledge in object-oriented languages such as Java and Gosu.
• Knowledge of XML, XSD and JSON.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server etc.
• Knowledge in the Insurance domain.
• Work experience in SCRUM Agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Cross skilled in multiple products (Policy Center & Billing Center/ Policy Center & Claim Center /Billing Center & Claim Center) is an advantage.
