Job summary

Jindal Aluminium seeks an experienced Senior Aerospace Program Manager in Bengaluru to lead programs from early business development through to final delivery. You will manage cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure milestones are met and customer expectations are exceeded.

The role requires 15–20 years in aerospace/aviation/defence with a strong track record in BD, product and program management, and experience with global OEMs/Tier-1

Qualifications

• 15-20 years of relevant aerospace/aviation/defence experience.
• Experience in Business Development, Product Management, Program Management and Delivery.
• Experience working with global aerospace OEMs / Tier-1 suppliers is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of aerospace products, manufacturing processes, engineering, quality and supply-chain functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead aerospace programs from business development and customer engagement through product development, industrialization and final delivery.
• Drive end-to-end program management with adherence to scope, cost, quality, schedule and customer requirements.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers and strategic aerospace customers.
• Manage relationships with major aerospace OEMs and customers, understanding their technical and commercial requirements.
• Lead product management and NPI activities, coordinating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement and other functions.
• Prepare and manage program plans, milestones, budgets, resource requirements and delivery schedules.
• Monitor program performance and proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies and change requests.
• Ensure successful transition from product development to production and customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage aerospace programs from business development and customer engagement through product development, industrialization and final delivery.
• Drive end-to-end program management, ensuring adherence to scope, cost, quality, schedule and customer requirements.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers and strategic aerospace customers.
• Manage relationships with major aerospace OEMs and customers, understanding their technical and commercial requirements.
• Lead product management and NPI activities, coordinating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement and other functions.

• Lead customer reviews, program governance meetings and periodic program status reporting.
• Manage commercial aspects including costing, pricing, contracts, margins and change management in coordination with the commercial/finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with relevant aerospace quality, regulatory and customer-specific requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction and operational excellence across assigned programs.

Desired Candidate Profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Production, Industrial Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• 15-20 years of relevant experience in the aerospace/aviation/defence industry.
• Strong experience in Business Development + Product Management + Program Management + Delivery.
• Proven experience in managing large, complex aerospace programs with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience working with global aerospace OEMs / Tier-1 suppliers is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of aerospace products, manufacturing processes, engineering, quality and supply-chain functions.
• Excellent customer-facing, negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong commercial orientation with the ability to connect customer requirements, technical solutions and business objectives.
• PMP / Program Management certification would be an advantage.
