Job summary

LRQA Mumbai is seeking a Programs Specialist to support our customer social responsibility program. The role focuses on developing relationships with partners globally to drive social compliance and sustainability initiatives, reporting to the Associate Director of Programs.

The position involves managing communications, supplier onboarding, data accuracy, and process improvements while aligning with SOPs and client requirements.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in ethical sourcing, labour compliance, sustainability, or related field.
  • Experience using vendor management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information.
  • Flexible approach to working hours to support a global team and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue Authorization Letters and other post-assessment communications to suppliers.
  • Manage internal and external communications, including drafting standard templates and tracking supplier responses.
  • Support supplier onboarding, deactivations, and profile updates across internal systems and client portals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, trackers, and databases to ensure data integrity and team visibility.
  • Monitor assessment progress and support the execution of assessment plans.
  • Cross-check, verify, and validate information from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Work closely with internal teams to track and monitor assessment processing activities.
  • Provide administrative support to team members as required.
  • Develop a strong understanding of client programmes, SOPs, and business objectives.
  • Support the implementation of new programmes, processes, and SOP updates.
  • Review, document, and communicate changes to client processes and requirements in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to maintaining high service standards and delivering an excellent client and supplier experience.
  • Assist with reporting, data management, and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Role Purpose:

The Specialist for Programs will be a key contributor to the customer social responsibility program. The position will support the customer and will develop relationships with key partners globally to drive social compliance and sustainability initiatives. They will work in partnership with the Associate Director and other key staff to meet customer expectations and execute against our SOW obligations. The position will help to represent the customer externally with suppliers and service providers and internally with LRQA delivery teams. They will report directly to the Associate Director, Programs and to the Customer for whose program LRQA has management responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and issue Authorization Letters and other post-assessment communications to suppliers.
