LRQA is seeking a dedicated Surveyor to perform surveys of engineering assets for compliance with Codes, Standards, specifications, and procedures. The role involves inspecting design, manufacture, and in-service aspects, producing reports and certificates, and presenting outcomes to clients.

Based in Bangalore, you will engage with internal and external stakeholders, manage safety practices, and identify opportunities to grow LRQA’s service delivery footprint in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Production Engineering from a recognised university or equivalent.
• Trade/technical/vocational certifications including job-specific certifications.
• ASME AI or IBR competent person desirable and preferred.
• Professional body membership preferred.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience demonstrating understanding of requirements, knowledge and application.
• Competent in MS Office suite of software.
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform inspections/assessments against defined specifications within budget and contractual requirements.
• Produce reports/certificates/documents within broad parameters and review team outputs.
• Discuss/deliver deliverables to clients at senior level and suggest alternatives.
• Manage LRQA relationships and client feedback to improve service delivery and grow the business.
• Seek new opportunities with existing clients and identify new clients regionally, supporting Sales/Marketing.
• Ensure activities comply with procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation and industry standards.
• Manage own and team health and safety compliance, training and resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform technical inspections/assessments against defined specifications/scope and provide advice for service delivery within agreed parameters that include budget constraints and contractual requirements.
• Produce the deliverable (reports/certificates/documents) within the agreed broad parameters in an appropriate format and take responsibility to review other employees work as requested.
• Discuss/present deliverable to internal/external client at a senior level and suggest alternative solutions where appropriate.
• Contribute to internal/external client management as appropriate, by acting as point of contact to effectively manage client and LRQA relationships and make recommendations based on client feedback to improve Service Delivery and to help build the business.
• Seek new opportunities with existing clients and identify new clients within the region, supporting Sales and Marketing activities.
• Conduct all activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation and industry standards.
• Manage your own, and your team’s compliance with health and safety rules, instructions, systems and legal requirements to ensure employees are suitably trained and adequate resources are available to work safely.

Required Qualifications

• Must have a relevant Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical / Metallurgical / Production Engineering) from a recognised University, or equivalent.
• Shall possess appropriate trade/technical/vocational qualifications/certification, including job-specific certifications.
• Qualification as ASME AI or IBR Competent Person are highly desired and will be given preference.
• Preferably a qualified member of a recognised professional body.
• Shall possess sufficient, relevant previous working experience (minimum 8 years) to demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the relevant requirements, knowledge, and application.
• Competent in MS Office suite of software
• Proficiency in English language commensurate with the work (both written and verbal)
• Effective interpersonal skills
