Job summary

Tekskills Inc. is seeking an Active Directory on-premises specialist in India with 2+ years of hands-on experience. This permanent role focuses on administering AD DS, managing users and groups, and configuring GPOs in an on-premises Windows environment.

You will handle domain controllers, DNS/DHCP, authentication, and security policies, while automating routine tasks with PowerShell and maintaining clear documentation. Immediate notice period.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Active Directory on-premises.
• Experience configuring and managing GPOs, DNS, DHCP, and domain controllers.
• Strong knowledge of Kerberos, LDAP, NTLM authentication and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain AD DS in an on-premises environment.
• Manage users, groups, computers, OUs, and service accounts.
• Configure and manage Group Policies (GPOs) across the domain.
• Manage domain controllers, replication, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
• Perform provisioning, deprovisioning, password resets, and access management.
• Monitor AD replication, authentication and domain-related issues.
• Support migrations, domain upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
• Implement AD security practices and audit policies.

• Maintain documentation and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) in an on-premises environment.

• Manage Kerberos, LDAP, NTLM, and Windows authentication mechanisms.
• Perform backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery activities for Active Directory.
• Use PowerShell to automate routine AD administration and reporting tasks.
• Troubleshoot Windows Server and domain connectivity issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and infrastructure records.
