Job summary

Mahavir Skoda is seeking an Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting for our automobile showroom and workshop operations. You will handle payments, receipts, reconciliations, AP/AR, and coordinate with various departments.

The role requires a commerce/finance degree and 12 years of relevant experience, preferably with exposure to automobile dealerships. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 12 years of relevant experience in Accounts/Finance.
• Experience in automobile dealership, showroom, workshop, or similar industry preferred.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day payments and receipts.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Record and maintain daily financial transactions accurately.
• Verify and process invoices, bills, receipts, and payment documents.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and maintain proper records.
• Coordinate with showroom, workshop, sales, and service teams for accounting-related transactions.
• Maintain records related to customer payments and vendor payments.
• Assist in tracking and reconciling customer and vendor accounts.
• Ensure timely recording of transactions related to vehicle sales, service, spare parts, and other dealership operations.
• Handle accounting documentation and maintain proper records.
• Assist with routine accounting and reporting activities.
• Support the accounts team in resolving discrepancies and reconciliation-related issues.
