Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations of the dealership.

• Manage banking transactions, bank reconciliation, and cash management.
• Process sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and MIS; reconcile accounts.

Job Summary

Mahavir Group is looking for an experienced Accounts Manager with strong automobile dealership experience to manage the complete accounting and financial operations of the dealership. The candidate should have hands-on experience in automobile dealership accounting, including vehicle sales, service operations, receivables, payables, banking, taxation, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations of the dealership.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Monitor customer and vendor outstanding balances and ensure timely follow-ups.
• Manage banking transactions, bank reconciliation, and cash management.
• Handle sales, purchase, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Monitor vehicle sales and service-related accounting transactions.
• Verify invoices, expenses, and supporting documents.
• Manage GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, MIS, and outstanding reports.
• Reconcile customer, vendor, bank, and ledger accounts.
• Monitor dealership expenses and ensure proper accounting.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, vendors, and internal departments.
• Ensure proper maintenance of books of accounts and financial records.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5 - 10 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an automobile dealership.
• Strong knowledge of AP, AR, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliation, GST, and TDS.
• Experience in handling dealership accounting operations will be preferred.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software/ERP.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to independently manage accounting operations and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in Automobile Dealerships, OEM Dealerships, or Service & Sales Operations will be preferred.

Mandatory Requirement

Automobile dealership experience is mandatory. Candidates without relevant automobile industry/dealership accounting experience will not be considered.
