Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Accounting & Finance specialist to manage day-to-day accounting, including AP/AR, GL, and bank reconciliations, while ensuring accurate financial reporting.

You will drive month-end close, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis, ensuring compliance with tax rules and internal controls. Proficiency with Odoo ERP is mandatory and you will work closely with IT and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally in an SME environment.
• Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP (mandatory).

Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable general ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations and internal controls.

Odoo ERP Management

• Manage master data in odoo, database back up and access controls
• Generate financial reports and dashboards from Odoo.
• Collaborate with IT or external vendors for troubleshooting Odoo-related issues.
• Support process automation and data accuracy across Odoo modules.

Ad Hoc & Cross-Functional Tasks

• Provide general administrative and IT support, such as setting up user accounts, managing software tools, setting up hardware or liaising with IT service providers
• Administer and maintain systems, servers, firewalls and network security.
• Assist in data migration, system backups and document management.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives across departments.

Qualifications & Requirements

• At least 2-4 years of accounting experience, ideally in an SME environment.
