Job summary

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) in Bengaluru/Delhi is seeking a 4G/5G Stack L1 Development engineer with 3+ years of experience. You will design and optimize LTE/NR PHY algorithms, mentor L1 teams, and collaborate across Radio/RF, L2, and fronthaul subsystems.

The role emphasizes latency and throughput optimization, multi-variant eNodeB/gNodeB support, and strong communication with stakeholders. A hands-on, delivery-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in LTE/NR PHY Layer, DSP, RF, Antennas.
• Expertise in modulation, coding (FEC, LDPC, Turbo), MIMO, beamforming, complex I/Q sample processing, FFT / IFFT, channel estimation & equalization.
• Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB, realtime embedded systems, FPGA/ASIC/GPU based programming.
• Experience with fronthaul (CPRI/eCPRI) and L1 acceleration.
• PHY/RF software development experience.
• Additional years of driving delivery of 4G/5G L1 programs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement LTE/NR PHY algorithms and procedures.
• Review and mentor high performance L1 teams towards delivery excellence in latency, throughput, and CPU/DSP/GPU/FPGA utilization.
• Interface with Radio/RF, L2, and fronthaul subsystems.
• Debug PHY issues using logs, IQ capture, and lab equipment.
• Drive large scale 4G/5G L1 product development, sustenance and customer support programs involving multiple variants of eNodeBs/gNodeBs (vRAN/ORAN/custom).
• Communicate with senior levels of internal and external stakeholders.
