Job summary

Adecco is recruiting on behalf of a well-established Irish engineering business in North Cork for a Welding & Quality Inspector. You will join a quality-driven manufacturing environment handling pressure vessel projects for pharma, chemical and industrial sectors.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will perform in-process welding inspections, verify drawings and specifications against ASME and PED requirements, coordinate NDT, and maintain traceable quality documentation to support project

Qualifications

3–7 years' experience in pressure vessel manufacturing or welding inspection.
Strong knowledge of ASME PV Code, ASME U-Stamp and PED.
Experience in in-process welding and fabrication inspection, including fit-up and NDT coordination.
Ability to read fabrication drawings, welding symbols and weld maps.
Experience coordinating inspections with subcontractors and clients.

Responsibilities

Carry out in-process welding, fabrication, fit-up and dimensional inspections.
Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications and ASME/PED requirements.
Ensure material identification, tracing and documentation throughout manufacturing.
Coordinate NDT activities, hydrostatic testing and third-party inspections.
Monitor welding procedures and welder qualifications; manage inspection requirements.
Maintain quality documentation and support non-conformance resolution.
