Job summary

BMD & CO is seeking a Welding Inspector for a short-term contract in Ireland. You will ensure day-to-day welding traceability, inspect high-purity stainless piping, and maintain detailed logs and reports.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate NDT testing and site walks to meet project standards. Ideal candidates have welding experience, a background in pharma or semi-conductor environments, and the ability to read P&IDs and Isometrics.

Qualifications

• Background in quality inspection desirable.
• Welding experience desirable.
• Background in pharmaceutical/semi-conductor.
• Ability to read P&IDs and Isometrics.
• Ability to use tracking software such as EIDA.
• IPAF/MEWP competency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production welding and material traceability recorded daily.
• Perform welding inspections on high-purity stainless piping.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections for piping integrity.
• Maintain records: weld logs, inspection reports, documentation.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Co-ordinate NDT testing and site walks for construction.
• Audit and sign off logs, maps, inspection and NDT for turnover.
