Job summary

Glanua is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to work on water and wastewater infrastructure projects from our Waterford base. You will contribute to multi-project delivery, conduct site activities and coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors while upholding HSQE standards.

The role requires a civil engineering degree, practical field experience, and strong communication. A full driving licence is essential; MS Office, GPS, total station and CAD proficiency are important assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in civil project roles, preferably water/wastewater.
• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Team-based delivery and procurement coordination with suppliers/sub-contractors.
• Problem solving and adapting to changes during project delivery.
• Proficiency with MS Office; GPS, total station and CAD.
• Strong communication and motivation; full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to delivery of multiple projects, embracing a 'one team' culture.
• Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards on site.
• Familiar with HSQE management system and statutory requirements.
• Cover for Project Manager when needed and manage day-to-day site operations.
• Understand project programme and budgets; assess impact of overruns.
• Review specifications and drawings; develop design solutions as needed.
• Use GPS, total station and 3D scanning for setting out and As Built data collection.
• Prepare technical reports and safety/operational documentation.
