Job summary

Glanua is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to work on-site in Waterford, Ireland. The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and at least 2 years in a similar role, preferably in water and wastewater. You will work within a project team, coordinate with suppliers and sub-contractors, and ensure HSQE standards on site.

You will also develop design drawings, review reports, and contribute to CPD and mentoring of junior staff as part of Glanua's growing team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the water and wastewater industry.
• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Ability to work as part of a team in project delivery and engage with suppliers and sub-contractors at procurement stage.
• Ability to use own initiative and problem solve during project delivery.
• Proficiency with MS Office and surveying/CAD tools (GPS, total station, CAD).
• Strong communication skills and driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects as part of a team, maintaining a one-team ethos.
• Ensure HSQE standards are followed on-site.
• Liaise with consultants, suppliers and subcontractors during procurement and delivery.
• Develop design drawings and specifications; review technical reports and safety files.
• Provide CPD and mentoring to junior staff.
