Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Water Sector Lead to serve as the primary ambassador for Water within Environment & Energy Europe, shaping growth strategy, building strategic client relationships, and positioning AECOM as a partner of choice in the market.

The role requires visible market profile and collaboration with stakeholders across the business. Reporting to EUR&I Strategy & Growth Director, you will help shape strategic direction and future growth while leading UK & Ireland initiatives for 2027.

Qualifications

• Proven success in leading growth within the Water sector in a consultancy or professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of Water sector dynamics, clients, emerging areas and competitors.
• Proven ability to build and maintain high-value client relationships at senior levels.
• Strategic thinker able to translate vision into practical action plans.
• Seasoned capture manager able to position for and secure key opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the sector, aligning activities with Europe-wide objectives with a focus on UK and Ireland in 2027.
• Maintain knowledge of market drivers, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities.
• Act as the sector figurehead at industry events and client forums to raise profile.
• Collaborate with Water Sector Lead, Water Business Line and EUR&I Sales to ensure representation in strategy and pursuits.
• Lead sector growth plan, client engagement strategies and positioning for frameworks across disciplines.
• Build and maintain strategic client relationships across the sector.
• Coordinate with CAMs to align priorities and convert opportunities for YoY growth.
• Drive bid leadership and Capture Manager activities for strategic pursuits.
