Job summary

Uisce Éireann is seeking an Leakage Maintenance and Repair Operative to support planned and reactive works across the water network. The role focuses on safe maintenance, repairs of leaks and mains, and ensuring service continuity for customers.

Applicants should have secondary education or equivalent experience, a valid Irish driving licence, and a strong health and safety mindset; IT systems experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Secondary level education or equivalent work experience.
• A clean Irish driving licence is minimum requirement.
• Experience in health & safety culture.
• Experience in maintenance/repair of water network is advantageous.
• Knowledge of water networks and meters is an advantage.
• Experience with IT systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support planned and reactive maintenance and repair activities across the water network in a safe and hygienic manner.
• Undertake work relating to mains rehabilitation, main laying, connections and meter installations.
• Respond to alarms and provide emergency cover for water network assets.
• Maintain and repair non-domestic water meters and liaise with Metering Services.
• Inform customers and follow up on escalated issues to support service delivery.
