Job summary

Uisce Éireann is seeking a Water Network M&R Operative to support planned and reactive maintenance across the national water network. The role involves safe handling of repairs to water mains, meters and related fittings, with out-of-hours work and standby rates as required.

You will work within a team focused on safety, regulatory compliance, and delivering reliable water services to communities. A clean driving licence (Ireland) and basic IT system proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Requires secondary level education or equivalent work experience.
• Health and safety awareness is essential.
• Experience with water networks or utilities is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support planned and reactive maintenance across the water network.
• Respond to alarms and provide emergency cover when required.
• Maintain and repair water meters and associated fittings, liaising with teams as needed.
• Ensure safe, compliant operations and accurate reporting of activities.
