Job summary

Uisce Éireann is seeking a Leakage Maintenance and Repair Senior Operative to lead field teams in the planned and reactive maintenance of the water network. You will oversee leakage repairs, meters, and associated fittings, ensuring safe, compliant operations and strong customer communication.

Out-of-hours work and standby may be required. The role requires at least two years in a similar position, a full Irish driving licence, and a solid understanding of health and safety best practices within

Qualifications

• Two years relevant experience in a similar role is required.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders.
• Good problem solving and analytical abilities are essential.
• Experience using IT systems to log and report work.
• Valid Irish driving licence (B) is required; C is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise planned and reactive maintenance and leakage repair across the water network, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Respond promptly to alarms, provide emergency cover, and resolve issues on water network assets.
• Supervise non-domestic water meter maintenance and site investigations as needed.
• Lead teams, inform customers about issues, and manage escalations and risk to public health.
• Coordinate with Customer teams and contractors, issue permits to work, and ensure accurate reporting.
