Job summary

Veolia Ireland is seeking a Plant Manager to lead and optimise operations at our Wicklow sites. You will manage a team of technicians across wastewater plants and pumping stations, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient operation in partnership with Uisce Éireann.

You will drive maintenance, performance improvements and cost control while coordinating site reporting and client liaison, with a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Senior mechanical/electrical tradesperson with people management experience or an Engineering background with operations and maintenance experience.
• Operational experience on a water treatment site is desired.
• Management experience on a water/wastewater site is desirable.
• Experience on a large operational water/wastewater treatment plant is desirable.
• Ability to manage time and resources to meet operational timelines within budget.
• Strong communication and people management skills.
• Self-motivated with strong achievement orientation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day management of a on-site team of technicians.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on plant equipment faults.
• Carry out planned preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance and ensure PMs are completed on time.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and develop PMs, Job Plans and SOPs for plant equipment.
• Review maintenance programmes to maximise uptime.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and manage subcontractors.
• Compile monthly site reporting and attend client liaison meetings.
• Promote a culture of Safety, Quality, Compliance and CI with the QHSE team.
