Job summary

Veolia Ireland is seeking a Construction Site Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary site team on water and wastewater projects across Ireland.

The role involves managing safety, programme and quality, coordinating with design and client teams, and ensuring compliance with Veolia requirements. Candidates should have Civil/Mech/Elec qualifications, 5–10 years site management experience, a full driving licence, and IOSH SHE or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Civil or Trade background showing progression to management level.
• 5 years' experience on multi-discipline site-based projects, preferably water or wastewater.
• Up to 10 years' site management experience in water/wastewater industry.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Excellent oral and written reporting skills.
• Computer literacy in Google Sheets, Docs & email an advantage.
• IOSH SHE for Construction Site Managers or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage, operate and run all site activities on behalf of Veolia.
• Develop and maintain H&S file on site.
• Plan the project with Project Manager ensuring drawings and Health & Safety proposals are agreed.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety, quality and environmental management.
• Oversee site team and subcontractors per Veolia minimum requirements (VMR).
• Identify, prevent and report unsafe behaviour and incidents on site.
• Assist with project handover and ensuring defect-free completion.
• Carry out regular H&S audits and toolbox talks.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports on-site activities.
• Liaise with Project Team, Risk & Assurance, suppliers, contractors and client.
