Job summary

Veolia Ireland is seeking a Construction Site Manager to lead on-site activities in Ballyboden, Dublin, for water/wastewater projects on a 12‑month Specified Purpose Contract. You will manage the site team and subcontractors, prioritise safety, and coordinate with Project Management, Client and suppliers.

The role requires strong leadership, proactive risk management and effective communication; travel to Veolia sites across Ireland may be required.

Qualifications

Civil or Trade background showing progression to management.
10 years’ experience working in roles on multi-discipline site-based projects preferably water or Waste Water.
Up to 10 years’ site management experience in water/wastewater industry.
Previous experience in Civil construction of Water Treatment plants will be an advantage.
Full clean driving licence.
Excellent oral and written reporting skills.
Good communication skills required.
Preferably to have IOSH SHE for Construction Site Managers or similar.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain H&S file on site.
Plan the project effectively with the Project Manager.
Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental management.
Manage site operations and supervise subcontractors.
Report unsafe behaviours, defects and incidents on site.
Coordinate with Project Team, Client and Contractors.
Lead weekly progress meetings and daily coordination sessions.
Ensure timely completion per project schedule.
