Job summary

Uisce Éireann is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Senior Operator to oversee wastewater treatment processes, including sludge handling, in Ireland. The role reports to the Wastewater Treatment Operations Team Lead and includes coordinating large tasks, maintaining assets, and supporting improvement initiatives.

You will mentor operators, ensure health and safety standards, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable service.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years relevant experience working in a similar role.
• Full, clean and valid Irish category B driving licence is minimum requirement.
• Experience working within Water Industry and/or other Utilities is an advantage.
• Experience of working with automated control systems such as SCADA is desirable.
• With health and safety culture, able to work in potentially hazardous environments with required risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting the Wastewater Treatment Operations Team Lead and mentoring Wastewater Treatment Operators.
• Coordinate larger/more complex tasks and allocate resources with the Team Lead.
• Operate wastewater treatment processes and perform routine maintenance on assets.
• Rollout of operations initiatives such as process testing, compliance improvements, training and development.
• Support knowledge sharing between teams and coordination of events.
• Deliver consistent customer service and manage environmental impacts of wastewater treatment.
• Support audits, incidents and health & safety compliance.
