Job summary

Veolia Water Ireland Limited in Mullingar is seeking a Part-time Lab Technician (Wastewater Operations) for 20 hours per week on a 24-month FTC. The role covers lab management, sample analysis, quality monitoring and safety compliance on site.

A science degree with lab experience and a valid driving licence are preferred. Responsibilities include process sampling, coordinating external analyses, reporting, equipment maintenance and health & safety tasks.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years experience in wastewater operations preferred.
• Knowledge of quality, environmental and safety systems.
• Attention to detail and computer skills (Word & Excel).
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Full clean driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Process sampling and arranging external analysis as needed.
• Report results to Plant Manager and maintain PMS records.
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment and monitoring devices.
• Maintain effluent water quality to EU specifications and contractual standards.
• Supervise Operators during weekends/leave and provide training where required.
