Job summary

UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic is seeking a Clerical Officer for the inpatient ward on a fixed-term six-month contract. You will support the paperless Hospital Information System, assist bed management, and handle patient records while collaborating with nursing and medical staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

The ideal candidate holds a Leaving Certificate and at least two years of clerical experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Minimum Leaving Certificate; two years clerical experience.
• Experience in acute/clinical settings is desirable.
• Self-directed with initiative and drive.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Diplomatic and tactful with ability to build relationships.
• Team player with flexible attitude.
• Proficient with MS Office and database systems.

Responsibilities

• Support paperless Hospital Information System implementation.
