Job summary

UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic in Ireland is seeking a Relief Healthcare Assistant to support the inpatient ward. You will assist nursing staff, help with patient care, and manage routine ward tasks under supervision, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The role requires FETAC Level 5 and a caring mindset with the ability to work independently, multi-task, and stay physically active throughout shifts. This position is based at the Sports Surgery Clinic in Leinster.

Qualifications

• Possess a good standard of education.
• FETAC Level 5 essential.
• Previous experience in caring profession desirable.
• Ability to work on own initiative and manage multiple tasks.
• Must be physically able to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in patient care and duties.
• Attend to patients' belongings, dentures, glasses, and hearing aids.
• Answer call bells and locate nursing staff when needed.
• Keep wards clean, tidy, and stocked; prepare beds and linens.
• Transport patients to theatres and assist in tests as required.
