Job summary

UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic in Dublin seeks a Clerical Officer for the inpatient ward on a fixed-term six-month contract. You will support the paperless Hospital Information System, manage bed allocation, and liaise with admissions to coordinate pre-op requirements.

The role requires Leaving Certificate, at least two years clerical experience, and experience in acute/clinical settings. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, maintain patient privacy, and contribute to quality

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literate with MS Office suite.
• Ability to work in a busy inpatient setting.
• Experience in healthcare or clinical environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and use of the paperless HIS.
• Maintain patient privacy and data protection.
• Manage bed allocation and daily discharge/transfer processes.
• Book appointments and liaise with wards, theatres and clinics.
• Assist CNM with accreditation processes and quality improvement.
