Job summary

Citco is seeking an experienced Automation & Digital Workflow specialist to join the Strategic Operations team in Dublin. You will define and deliver automation projects from opportunity to deployment, measuring benefits and aligning with IT and Transformation Office collaborators.

The role requires 8+ years in private assets accounting or operations, with hands-on automation or process-improvement experience and strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

About The Team & Business Line

Fund Administration is Citco’s core business, and our alternative asset and accounting service is one of the industry’s most respected. Our continuous investment in learning and technology solutions means our people are equipped to deliver a seamless client experience.

Strategic Operations is a dedicated function within Private Assets, created to take the development and delivery burden off Operations and to close the gap between project design and operational adoption — by making both the responsibility of the same people. The team owns transformation delivery, project execution, business analysis, operational initiatives and implementation support, rather than relying on already stretched BAU teams and SMEs.

The team is organised into three delivery pods across two remits. EVP 1 — Operating Model & Product covers Pod A (Operating Model, Product & Client Solutions). EVP 2 — Technology, Data & Delivery covers Pod B (Data, Reporting & Platform Enablement) and Pod C (Digital Workflow, Automation & AI). Business analysis and implementation capability is embedded in every pod rather than centralised, with EVP 2 owning the standards for requirements, testing, cutover and benefits tracking.

This role sits in Pod C — Digital Workflow, Automation & AI, which determines what is worth automating and how it gets deployed and measured.

The group works in close partnership with Operations, the Transformation Office, IT, Tactical Operations and our Marquee Client teams. Roles are offered on both a permanent basis and as approximately 12-month rotational assignments, and are anchored in our strategic locations. Rotational colleagues join from the business, shape the change, and return to the line owning the delivery with broader project experience behind them.

Responsibilities

Your Role

You will deliver automation and digital workflow change from opportunity identification through to deployment and measured benefit.

• Identify processes suitable for automation or AI, quantify the opportunity, and build the case.
• Design the target workflow, including exception handling and the controls that sit around it.
• Write and agree requirements with IT and the Transformation Office, and support them through build.
• Design, plan and execute testing, including UAT, and manage defect resolution through to sign-off.
• Deploy solutions into the business and confirm they are used as intended.
• Measure and report realised benefit against the original case.
• Work with Pods A and B where automation depends on a process redesign or data capability.
• Produce project documentation, status reporting and ad hoc analysis as required.

Qualifications

About You

You have 8+ years’ experience in private assets accounting or operations, with hands‑on exposure to automation or process improvement.

• Hands‑on experience of automation deployment, workflow design, process improvement or system implementation.
• Strong technical knowledge of private assets processes and where the manual effort genuinely sits.
• Familiarity with automation and workflow tooling, and a practical view of where AI is and is not appropriate.
• Project management skills with attention to detail and a proven ability to multi‑task.
• Confident engaging both operational teams and technology partners.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel); familiarity with reporting, workflow or automation tooling an advantage.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics; professional accounting designation is preferred.
