COPE Galway is seeking a Retail Assistant to provide temporary, practical cover across our two charity shops, supporting day-to-day shop operations, customers, donors and volunteers.

You will open and close stores, handle till transactions, process donations, price and stock items, and work with volunteers under the Retail Manager’s guidance.

This hands-on role requires reliability, a friendly manner, basic numeracy and the ability to work across both Galway City shops.

Formación

• Reliable, punctual and able to follow procedures.
• Basic numeracy and confidence using a till.
• Ability to work on your feet and handle stock/delivery tasks safely.

Responsabilidades

• Open and close stores as rostered, following security and cash procedures.
• Serve customers, handle till, process payments and queries.
• Keep shop floor tidy, well stocked, and assist with displays and pricing.
• Receive, price and move donations between stockroom and shop floor.
