Job summary

Elk Recruitment in Dublin City Centre is seeking a driven Trade Counter Sales Representative with experience in DIY and building materials to join our client’s growing team. This is a permanent, full-time role offering a salary of €35,000 - €40,000 depending on experience.

You will provide excellent customer service at the trade counter, process orders and quotations, manage stock, and collaborate with warehouse and counter teams to maximise efficiency and sales opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in building product or construction.
• Previous sales experience at a trade counter or similar role.
• Excellent knowledge of building materials.
• IT proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent customer service at the trade counter by assisting customers with product queries and orders.
• Processing POS transactions, generating quotations and maximising sales opportunities
• Receiving, checking, and accurately recording incoming stock deliveries.
• Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch efficiently and carefully.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and conducting regular stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day warehouse and trade counter operations.
