Job summary

Elk Recruitment is seeking a driven Trade Counter Sales Representative with experience in DIY and Building Materials to join our client’s team based in Dublin City Centre.

This permanent, full-time role offers €35,000-€40,000 depending on experience, with employee discounts and opportunities for continuous development.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in building products or construction.
• Previous sales experience around the trade counter or similar position.
• Excellent knowledge of building materials.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent customer service at the trade counter by assisting customers with product queries and orders.
• Processing POS transactions, generating quotations and maximising sales opportunities.
• Receiving, checking, and accurately recording incoming stock deliveries.
• Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch efficiently and carefully.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and conducting regular stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day warehouse and trade counter operations.
