Job summary

Heat Merchants Group is hiring a Part-Time Trade Counter Sales Assistant for our Blackpool branch in Cork. You will support trade and retail customers, process sales, and help maintain stock displays in a friendly, professional environment.

This 3-day-per-week role includes occasional Saturday shifts 8am-12pm. You'll build relationships, promote products, and contribute to a welcoming branch experience while following company health, safety, and training standards.

At Heat Merchants, we're hiring a Part-Time Trade Counter Sales Assistant for our branch in Blackpool, Cork, due to a branch colleague retiring.

The successful candidate will be supporting customers, driving sales, and helping to deliver an exceptional branch experience every day. We are looking for somebody to work 3 days per week and who will be flexible to work 8am-12pm on the occasional Saturday .

The Role

This is a varied, customer-facing position where you'll play an important role in supporting trade and retail customers, processing sales, maintaining stock displays, and ensuring our branch provides a professional and welcoming experience. As part of a small, collaborative team, you'll assist with all aspects of branch operations, including trade counter sales, stock handling, goods inwards, and occasional customer deliveries when required.

Things You'll Do

You'll greet customers, understand their requirements, and provide expert advice and product recommendations to help them find the right solutions.

You'll process orders, quotations, and sales transactions accurately while identifying opportunities to promote products and services that add value for customers.

You'll ensure the trade counter, displays, and merchandising areas are well presented, organised, and stocked to create a positive customer experience.

Build Strong Customer Relationships

You'll develop positive relationships with both trade and retail customers, becoming a trusted point of contact within the branch.

Support Branch Operations

You'll be a key part of the branch team, assisting with all areas of the business as required. From serving customers at the trade counter and managing stock to supporting goods inwards and completing customer deliveries when needed, you'll help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the branch.

Put Safety First

You'll follow all company policies and health & safety procedures to maintain a safe environment for customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
