Job summary

State Street Corporation, via its Charles River Development (CRD) / Alpha Platform Engineering, seeks a mid-level Technical Delivery Manager to lead engineering delivery for a large, global program with a $50M+ book of work. You will drive strategic planning, budgeting, and governance, aligning resources and programs with the company’s agile standards.

You will coordinate with product owners, engineering leaders, and finance to ensure successful delivery, optimize headcount, and maintain cost

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience successfully implementing and leading engineering delivery or a large global organization.
• Prior experience of supporting portfolios >$20MM inclusive of managing resources, book of work governance, strategy definition, and planning
• Proven experience of working with multiple stakeholders, negotiating and influencing decision-making in a matrixed organization
• Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
• Practical knowledge of Agile and Scaled Agile methodology
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of MS Project, MS Excel and Jira is required

Responsibilities

• Book of Work Management: support strategic planning, book of work structure definition and governance.
• Engineering Delivery: support initiatives and programs in the Engineering Delivery organization, ensure adherence to SDLC standards and best project management and Agile practices.
• Agile Execution: implement best practices for scrum team structure and execution; use standard Agile metrics.
• Capacity Management: manage headcount and expenses; optimize resource planning and transparency across global teams.
• Key Performance Metrics: measure progress, identify risks, drive transparency and improvements.
• Vendor Management: administer key vendor contracts.
