Job summary

Aramark Ireland is recruiting a Team Leader to join our catering team in Athenry. Reporting to the Unit Manager, you will lead the shift, supervise the catering team and ensure high standards of service and food quality.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced catering environment, strong leadership and customer focus, and a proven ability to manage stock, health and safety, and training. This permanent role involves 5/7 days per week.

Qualifications

• Fluent English.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience in merchandising and promotions is a plus.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Background in hospitality or catering preferred.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Minimum 1 year in a supervisory role in a high-end cafe/restaurant.
• Problem-solving mindset and can-do attitude.
• Experience in cash handling and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example while preparing high-quality product.
• Support daily supervision of the catering team and maintain standards.
• Assist stock control, deliveries, and minimize waste.
• Ensure a safe, healthy work environment per Health & Safety rules.
• Liaise with Unit Manager and cover in their absence.
• Assist in training and development of staff.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients.
• Ensure front-of-house areas are merchandised per unit SOPs.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the catering facility.
• Handle customer requests, feedback and complaints satisfactorily.
• Complete weekly bookwork as required.
• Implement HACCP and Health & Safety regulations.
• Maintain highest H&S and HACCP standards in facility.
• Lead junior administration staff and ensure department smooth running.

YOUR ROLE

Aramark Food Services is currently recruiting for a Team Leader to join their team in Athenry. Reporting to the Unit Manager, this individual will have responsibility for leading the shift and assist supervising the catering services provided in the restaurant. If you have a passion for food and service and thrive on working in a team, then this might be the ideal job for you. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with a proven track record in supervising a high-street deli bar or similar environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Leading by example in preparing delicious, high-quality product.
• Supporting the day-to-day supervision of the catering team, ensuring standards are consistently met
• Supporting stock control, deliveries, and minimising waste
• Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to all Health & Safety regulations
• Liaising with the Unit Manager and stepping up in their absence when required
• Assist in the training and development of the catering team
• Provide excellent customer service to all clients and customers
• Ensure Front of house areas are merchandised as per unit SOP's
• Ensure that the catering facility runs smoothly on a day to day basis
• Handle customer requests, feedback and complaints in a satisfactory manner
• Complete weekly bookwork as required
• Implement HACCP procedures and Health and Safety regulations
• Ensure that the highest standards of Health and Safety and HACCP are maintained in the catering facility
• Good leadership skills with a proven track record in supervision of junior administration staff.
• Ensure the smooth running of the department.

Requirements

• Fluent English
• Excellent customer Service skills
• Experience in merchandising, working with brands and promotions would be a distinct advantage
• Previous experience in a similar role in a fast-paced catering business
• Excellent Attention to detail
• Strong background in hospitality or catering is preferred
• Excellent time management skills
• At least 1 years' experience in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity in a high-end cafe/coffee shop or high street restaurant setting
• Problem-solving mind and solutions-orientated approach with a flexible can-do attitude
• Experience in cash handling, computer literate
