YOUR ROLE

Aramark Food Services is currently recruiting for a Catering Supervisor to join our team at Boston Scientific, Galway.

Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our catering service. You will lead and support your team, helping to create a positive working environment while ensuring our customers receive a consistently high standard of food and service.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, motivate and support the catering team during daily service
• Assist with the day-to-day running of the catering operation
• Ensure excellent standards of customer service are delivered at all times
• Coordinate front-of-house and back-of-house activities to ensure a smooth and efficient service
• Support with staff scheduling, task allocation and daily operational requirements
• Train, coach and support new and existing team members
• Lead by example and help create a positive, inclusive and supportive team environment
• Ensure food hygiene, HACCP, health and safety and company procedures are followed at all times
• Monitor presentation and merchandising standards across the catering areas
• Assist with stock control, ordering and monthly inventory requirements
• Support the achievement of operational targets and performance standards
• Carry out regular checks and audits to ensure the unit is safe, clean, functional and customer-ready
• Respond professionally and efficiently to customer feedback and queries
• Work closely with the management team to identify opportunities to improve service and the customer experience
• Take responsibility for the operation in the absence of the Manager or Deputy General Manager
• Carry out other reasonable duties appropriate to the role

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about food, hospitality and delivering excellent customer service
• An experienced supervisor or team leader within a café, restaurant, deli, catering or similar hospitality environment
• A natural people person who enjoys supporting and motivating others
• Organised, reliable and able to prioritise in a busy environment
• Flexible, positive and solutions-focused
• Comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions
• A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards
• Familiar with food hygiene and HACCP practices

Experience within a contract catering or high-volume food service environment would be an advantage, but most importantly, we are looking for someone with the right attitude, leadership skills and desire to grow.
