Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages, ensuring presentation meets our high standards.
• Communicate proactively with your line manager, reporting customer feedback, stock requirements, equipment faults, and any potential hazards identified during your shift.
• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with basic administrative and computer-based tasks as assigned.
• Provide friendly and attentive customer service, responding to guest needs with professionalism and empathy.
• Follow all food safety procedures and organisational policies consistently.

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Catering Assistant to join our dynamic catering team in Dublin, Ireland. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional food service and creating a welcoming experience for our clients and guests. Working collaboratively with our catering team, you will support the preparation, serving, and presentation of high-quality food and beverages whilst maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and professionalism.

• Maintain clean and inviting serving areas, keeping counters, display units, and merchandise well-stocked and attractively presented at all times - Uphold food safety and hygiene standards by cleaning back-of-house areas, crockery, cutlery, and light equipment using appropriate methods and materials
• Keep public-facing areas spotless and welcoming, attending to detail in all aspects of the service environment - Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages, ensuring presentation meets our high standards - Communicate proactively with your line manager, reporting customer feedback, stock requirements, equipment faults, and any potential hazards identified during your shift
• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with basic administrative and computer-based tasks as assigned - Work flexibly as part of a collaborative team, adapting to changing priorities and supporting colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery - Provide friendly and attentive customer service, responding to guest needs with professionalism and empathy - Follow all food safety procedures and organisational policies consistently

• Previous experience in food preparation or catering environments - Food hygiene certification or willingness to obtain one during induction - Experience using point-of-sale systems or basic computer skills - Enthusiasm for learning new skills and developing within the catering industry - Experience working with diverse teams and clientele
